What's New for 2009/2010

GreetingsSnowFanatics!

 FromTheChalet

On behalf of the Glen Eden Ski and Snowboard Centre, welcome to our most anticipated winter season yet!  Staff have continued to build on the energy and enthusiasm shown by our valued guests.  Many exciting projects have been undertaken during the 'off season' with one goal in mind:  providing a high quality ski and snowboard area that has high value for everyone.  'First timers' and 'seasoned veterans' alike will benefit from over one million dollars in area wide investments completed for the 2009/2010 season.

Visitors to our Learning Centre will see the addition of a user friendly 'Magic Carpet' lift.  This lift will replace our T-bar and will provide easier access to our beginner slopes.  Over 350 pairs of HEAD skis and over 100 Burton snowboards have been purchased to add to what is now one of the highest quality rental fleets in Ontario.

Last season our snowmaking team demonstrated a desire to provide our guests with the best skiiing conditions in southern Ontario, regardless of weather.  Despite higher than normal temperatures this past February and March, Glen Eden completed a remarkable season as scheduled and with all of our terrain open.  With capacity improvements to our snowmaking system, this season will be no exception.  the goal of this devoted team is for an early season opening of our terrain parks, mogul fields, and tubing area.  When the cold November temperatures arrive we are prepared to make snow day and night until conditions are perfect.

A new workshop and point of sales system have also been added to give the staff at Glen Eden the tools needed to provide a quality experience for all of our guests.  Continued upgrades to our ski and snowboard patrol, chalet, and food service areas are sure to impress our long time clientele.

Take the time to check out 'The Scoop' to choose the season pass and/or lesson program that best fits you and your families needs.  Our staff have developed a full scope of options designed to meet the needs of all of our passionate guests

See you on the slopes!

As one who spends his summer months dreaming of colder days and a whiter landscape, it is with particular anticipation that I look ahead to the 2009/2010 season at Glen Eden.  Between infrastructure improvements and program advancements, we have once again made many strides this summer to improve your visit to Glen Eden this winter.

Early Bird Lesson Pricing - Always a huge incentive to buy your season pass early we have now extended these great deals to our lessons as well .  Be sure to sign up before November 8th, to take advantage of these great prices.  Look for early bird (EB) pricing throughout the SCOOP or website.

On-Line Registration - Lesson registration and pass sales can now be done through gleneden.on.ca.  Everything goes live on September 21st and while we will still accept registrations in person and by fax, the online tool will be the best way to secure your spot this season, especially for popular lesson programs with limited spaces.

Value Priced Passes - After huge success in their first year, our Value Priced season passes are back and we've locked in last season's rates for you.  Check out our prices in the back our SCOOP, Season Passes on this website.  Passes start at $99!
